Finally releasing Amy she looked down at the little figure standing next to Amy. Feeling her gaze upon him Matt suddenly became very shy as he moved to hide behind Amy and he shifted his arms so that he was wrapped around a leg with only his head in view.
Seeking to put him at ease Ella squatted down so that she was at eye level with him and introduced herself as she held out a hand for him to shake. Matt for his part was still somewhat reticent, but found himself warming to this friendly lady.
Being this close to Matt she was finally able to get a good look at him. Her first thought was how much he looked like his father with his reddish-auburn hair and his sky blue eyes. Her second thought was that if he turns out like his father he is going to be a heart breaker.
Matt having made up his mind, unwrapped an arm from around Amy's leg to solemnly shake Ella's hand.
Amy tried to leave Matt with Ella while she went to get her car and drive it to the baggage pickup but he would have no part of it. So they headed to the parking lot together while Ella took the escalator down to the luggage kiosks, stopping off to confirm her car rental. Soon Ella's baggage was on board and they headed over to the rental lot.
